A total of 160 travel agents, airline managers and companies from the tourism sector met in the city for the 2nd edition of Fly A Coruña. The meeting, which began with a visit to the MEGA Museum, focused yesterday afternoon on an analysis of trends in the sector and a workshop in which the participating travel axencies established contacts with around 50 tourism suppliers. The forum is organised by the Spanish Confederation of Travel Axencies (CEAV), together with the Galician Association of Travel Axencies (AGAVI) and the City Council of A Coruña through the city's Tourism and Congress Consortium.
This meeting brought together experts from the tourism sector, airlines and travel axencies in A Coruña. The forum featured three panels: one on air connectivity, one on destinations and one on travel agencies. Participants in this event included Javier Gándara, Country Director of EasyJet and president of the Airline Association; Francisco Hernández, deputy commercial director of Binter; Sabine Schwanz, director of Travel Trade and Connectivity of Madrid Destination of the Madrid City Council; Moisés Jorge Naranjo, managing director of the Consortium of Tourism and Congresses of A Coruña; Cristina Espello, Irish Tourist Office in Madrid Area of Travel Trade and Connectivity; Carlos Garrido, president of CEAV and Juan Rivadulla, president of AGAVI. During the forum, the air routes that connect with Galicia were presented, as well as the latest developments of the invited destinations and the challenges that travel axencies are currently facing.
Among the tourism suppliers: insurance companies, hotel chains, airlines, national and international destinations, land transport, travel wholesalers, artificial intelligence (AMADEUS) and tourism and leisure service companies. Estrela Galicia collaborates in the event. At the forum, which lasted all day yesterday, several prizes were awarded, such as the Estrela Galicia Experience, Enjoy Cuba and Binter trip to Tenerife.
