Visits to the Tower


Ticket sales at the Visitor Information and Assistance Centre (CIAV) from 9.45 a.m.

Monday, free entrance. It is necessary to collect the ticket at the point of sale of the CIAV.


Monday to Sunday
Easter: the Tower of Hercules extends its hours of attention to the public, which will be from 10 to 20.00, with last entry at 19.30.
From October to May: from 10.00 to 18:00 (entrance closing at 17:30h)
From June to September: from 10:00 to 21:00 (entrance closing at 20:00h)


Due to the sanitary protocol of the covid-19, every hour only 10 people can enter to the monument. Also, the visit will be of a maximum of 45 minutes, because we use the remaining 15 minutes to disinfect areas of risk of contagion.

Tickets can be collected one day before the visit to be able to make it at the desired time, except the days of free admission. In this case, the tickets must be collected the day of the visit itself.”.

Advance sale may result in the daily capacity being covered before closing time. The Tower of Hercules informs visitors who prefer to buy their tickets at the time of access directly at our ticket offices* that this circumstance could occur, so they could not be allowed access in order to comply with current regulations regarding seating limitations.

According to the safety protocol, the monument will remain closed with winds of force 7 or higher. Likewise, the terrace will be closed with force 5 winds.


General rate: 3 €.
Reduced rate: €1.50

It shall be applied in the following cases:

  • Children under 14 years of age, holders of Youth Cards and over 65 years of age.
  • Holders of the International Student Card (ISIC) or International Teacher Card (ITIC).
  • Persons in legal situation of unemployment, with presentation of accrediting document (Spain and EU).
  • Large family members, with presentation of supporting document.
  • Groups of more than 20 people in visit, previously arranged.
  • The days and in the cases established by the Governing Board.

Zero quota

It shall apply in the following cases:

  • Educational groups from the municipality of A Coruña on a previously arranged visit.
  • Tickets for teachers responsible for the groups or tourist guides in the development of their tasks, upon presentation of their card.
  • People with a physical or mental disability, with previous accreditation.
  • Visits sponsored by the Town Hall, subject to a resolution declaring this to be the case.
  • Visits by members of the Asociación de Amigos do Arqueolóxico and the International Council of Museums.
  • Visits by members of the Spanish Association of Museologists.
  • Science Week and Street Science Week.
  • Third Saturday of each month, between October and June.
  • Journalists, presenting accreditation.
  • Duly accredited teaching staff.
  • Tourist card users.
  • International Museum Day.
  • Every Monday of the year.

*Note: Offices and the Tower of Hercules will be closed on December 24, 25 and 31 and on days 1 and 5 (afternoon) and January 6.​
